With the new iPad ready to be pre-ordered Apple has announced that they will replace your existing iPads if there are any battery issues (Ex: Battery’s diminished ability to hold an electric charge etc). The replacement does come with a small service fee of $99 plus a $6.95 shipping cost. But because they will be replacing the entire device and sending over a new one all the existing personal data from the device will be lost. In fact Apple has stated: “before you submit your iPad for service, it is important to sync your iPad with iTunes to back up your contacts, calendars, email account settings, bookmarks, apps, etc”.
That’s a great deal isn’t it? The only hassle here being away from the device for about a week while the old device is gone and the new one is on its way.
